In January, we reached a significant achievement by producing and distributing 9,000 energy-efficient cookstoves, bringing efficiency to countless homes. February has already seen the production of 3,000 cookstoves, with 5,000 of them finding their way to families eager for a change. This progress is not just a number; it's a testament to our commitment to sustainability and health, embodied in every stove we create.

We're on the brink of an exciting milestone, nearing the distribution of 50,000 cookstoves. This figure represents 50,000 families who've embraced a cleaner, more efficient way of cooking that benefits both their health and the environment. [Update: in March 2024, we reached the significant milestone and manufactured and distributed 50,000 energy-efficient cookstoves to local households.] As we close our first monitoring period and embark on the second, we're not just counting stoves but making every stove count towards our credit issuance this year.

The heart of our project lies in the lush landscapes of Mt Kenya and the Aberdare regions, where our cookstoves are more than just products. They're a symbol of local craftsmanship and sustainability, designed to meet the unique needs of the communities we serve. By reducing firewood consumption, we're preserving local forests, reducing deforestation, saving time and money for firewood collectors, and creating cleaner household environments. Our stoves are also locally made, offering many job opportunities to the community.

Our energy-efficient cookstoves are a beacon of hope, demonstrating that local initiatives can have a global impact. By reducing cooking time and smoke exposure, we're significantly lowering the risk of respiratory diseases, making a profound difference in the health and wellbeing of communities.
