DGB Group N.V. ("DGB" of "de Groep") (Euronext: DGB: NL0009169515), een toonaangevend natuurprojectontwikkelaar en ecosysteemherstelbedrijf, verkoopt haar aandeel van 75% in Statix Artificial Intelligence BV (“Statix”). Deze strategische desinvestering komt na een succesvolle periode van gezamenlijke softwareontwikkeling. Het sluit aan bij de langetermijnstrategie van DGB om haar kernactiviteiten op te schalen en zo haar positie als toonaangevende natuurprojectontwikkelaar te versterken.
De samenwerking tussen DGB en Statix leidde tot de creatie van innovatieve tools en geavanceerde intelligente technische oplossingen. Met name de Carbon Calculator, gelanceerd op 23 december 2021, wordt voortdurend gebruikt voor de berekening van de ecologische voetafdruk en helpt bedrijven klimaatneutraal te worden volgens PAS2060 en in overeenstemming met het GHG Protocol.
DGB zal haar Carbon Calculator verder ontwikkelen via zijn eigen softwareontwikkelingsteam, naast het lopende habitatbankingproject van DGB, dat tot doel heeft natuurherstel te financieren door middel van biodiversiteitscertificaten.
Statix zal zich blijven specialiseren in AI-oplossingen voor verschillende klanten. DGB maakt gebruik van satellietgegevens, kunstmatige intelligentie en machine learning om de gegevensverzameling voor haar natuurprojectenportfolio aanzienlijk te verbeteren. Deze technologie biedt uitgebreide inzichten in landkenmerken, ondersteunt hoogwaardige meet-, rapportage- en verificatieprocessen (MRV) en waarborgt de kwaliteit van de projecten van DGB.
